DLP is the abbreviation of English Digital Light Processor, translated as Digital Light Processor. DLP uses DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) digital micro-reflector as the light valve imaging device. A DLP computer board consists of an analog-to-digital decoder, a memory chip, an image processor and several digital signal processors (DSP). All text images pass through this board to generate a digital signal. To the heart of the DLP system - DMD. After passing through a high-speed rotating trichromatic lens, the light beam is projected on the DMD, and then projected on the large screen through the optical lens to complete the image projection. A DMD is formed by a number of tiny square mirrors (referred to as micromirrors) closely arranged in rows and columns and attached to the electronic nodes of a silicon wafer. Each micromirror corresponds to a pixel that generates an image. Therefore, the number of micromirrors in the DMD device determines the physical resolution of a DLP Projector. For example, the resolution of a Projector is 600X800, which means that the number of micromirrors on the DMD device is 600x800=480000.
